NEW DEACONS
3-year term ending August 31, 2029
John Andrews – John and Alexa Andrews came to FBCW in April 2020 and loved it from the beginning. They have one son, Sam, and have been married for 54 years. He has served in music ministry, deacons, missions, Awana, Benevolence Committee, ramp building through the Randolph Baptist Association, and other community projects.
Ricky Daniel – Ricky became a Christian on August 10,1976 at the age of 14. He and his wife Sharon have been married 45 years, blessed with four sons and their wives (Calan and Eliza, Addison and Shanna, Lance and Taylor, and Braxton and Bailey), and eight grandchildren. Sharon and Ricky joined FBCW in 1984 and he was ordained as a deacon in 1987. Currently he serves as church treasurer, Spares and Pairs Sunday School teacher, Awana Storytime Teacher, member of the Wee Kids Committee, member of the choir, and is on the Worship Space Improvement Committee.
Tommy Lipham – Tommy has been married for 44 years to Melinda, they have two children, Andy Lipham and Hayle Williams, and seven grandchildren. They have been members at FBCW for 40 years. He has served as deacon in the past 35 years and served on various church committees, currently serving on the Stewardship Committee. He also drives the bus for various church outings.
Tim McLendon – Married at 33 to Fiona, together they have 3 children, Luke (30), Gracie (28), and Seth (26). After Graduating from Southern Tech, he worked as an aerospace engineer for 40 years in GA and TX. They moved to Wedowee in 2023, joining FBCW, where they both are involved with teaching 2nd grade Awana, VBS, Missions, the RBA Christian Service Center, and various other community projects while also facilitating men’s and women’s small groups at their home.
Tut Smith – Tut accepted Christ as a teenager and was baptized at Johnson Baptist Church in 1985. He was ordained as a deacon and served in various leadership roles before moving to Wedowee. In early 2022, he and his wife Sharon moved their letter to FBCW. They have been married for 42 years, have 3 children and 9 grandchildren. He serves as an adult Sunday School teacher, works in VBS, and serves on the Personnel Committee.
